See, we have updates just as promised! and more is to come down the line. I am hoping to get some other creative things added to the site, and of course we are always open to recommendations for this to add, so have any ideas? Leave them in comments, on the guest-book, or e-mail me at tkbear@tkbearcrew.com. But there are some slight website format changes, new galleries from old events added, new content, and so much more. So look around and check things out.

Other than that, Dragon Con is almost here!!! Being that we are in the nostalgic mode, and uploaded a bunch of old event photos, check out the old 2004 Dragon Con Gallery in the gallery section of the website.

I realize, we need more updates, and we seem to go through phases. A bunch of updates, and then everything slows. A bunch of updates, and everything slows. But I will admit I have project A.D.D. Jumping head first into a hundred projects and running around like a chicken with it's head chopped off. Well, hopefully I have the attention span now to start working on the site some more again.

Some of the updates will be made to costumes, and coding bugs. I realize a few pages still have bugs. Next there will be a few layout tweaks, but no overhaul. As the last overhaul took long enough. Finally just more content and more galleries. We have TONS! of reference photos, progress photos, old event photos and so forth from the old site and we need to update these things.

BTW in case you haven't realized, Dragon Con is just in 43 days!!!!!

Word has reached us here at the TK-Bear Crew that for at least the fourth time, our very own member, James “Cadet” Ficker, has been used as the base model for an illustration on a licensed trading card!

Cadet has previously been used as the base likeness for at least three Marvel Sketch cards, one off one of a kind cards where the artist draws directly onto a card randomly inserted in a pack. These cards can be seen in Cadet’s Spider-man costume section.

Now images of Cadet’s original clone trooper have been used as a base model for a new poster for the Star Wars Topps trading card line, by artist Joe Corroney.

Once more the Crew descended on Columbus, OH’s largest Anime convention, and once more we had a lot of fun.

The guys at Bungie studios have put together a couple great promotions to help the earthquake victims in the Republic of Haiti.

Right now, in the Bungie Store, you’ll find a special edition of the “Superintendent tee.” Pick one up and they will donate 100% of the profits directly to the relief efforts through the American Red Cross.

Additionally they will donate 100% of the prfit from all other merchandise they sell in their store until the end of February.

The final way you can help is by simply playing some Halo 3 or ODST online this Wednesday or Thursday (January 120 and 21) while wearing a special emblem on your Spartan. For every 1,000 players wearing the emblem, Bungie will make a $100 donation (with a max of $77,000) to the Red Cross. You can find all the details on the event here:

Well it came out a few weeks ago, and if you haven't seen it below is the new Iron Man Trailer. I am very exited for this, and it only reminds me that I need to get working on some of my new projects.

Or should the be movie? Anyhow with the help of ILM it seems as though my Pal R2D2 has been making some cameos in a lot of big name movies. What movies have you seen him in?

Slowly but surely the movies will be mimicking the comics and movie paths will cross just like they do in comics. I always liked in comics how the paths from one story line cross others. Heroes meet up and cross paths to defeat villains whose paths cross as well. With Thor the first step towards this has begun. Thor negins filming January 2010!

New Book review is up. This time it is Dan Simmon's Hyperion. Give ti a read to see why this book is considered by so many to be a classic of Science-Fiction.

I first heard about a possible "Steam punk" Disney game for the Wii a while back, but didn't think anything of it, thinking it was just rumors, but apparently it's true. The upcoming game "Epic Mickey" takes place in a dystopian world where all the forgotten Disney characters and even amusement park rides end up. Apparently from what has been leaked so far, these forgotten characters have grown tired of living in the shadows and invade Mickey's world, spreading a viscous black goo where ever they go. The player, as Mickey, will have to make use of the Wii-mote controls to use paint thinner, erasers, and paint to remove the goo.

The primary antagonist of the game is one Oswald the Rabbit, the first Disney cartoon character, who Disney only recently recovered he rights to in 2006, after losing them to Universal in 1929.

Hey everybody, Cadet here with your little piece of random trivia for today.

Did you know that early in the development process for the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the Wii, Activision wanted to include some Nintendo characters as an exclusive? However, apparently, Activiosn wanted this to be a surprise, and as such did up the concept art and made the character models for Link and Samus in secret, without telling Nintendo, and then revealed the characters to Nintendo, on the PS2 beta build of the game, using a PS2.

It would seem that Nintendo was not amused, and did not allow their IP to be used in the game, and all we have to show us what almost was is concept art and videos that have been leaked.

As the resident Web-Head of the group, I figured I should weigh in...Seriously? Come on.

I just hope it's not as bad as Spider-man 3. It could actually be interesting if they go the sort of conflicted Anti-Hero thing Eddie Brock occasionally had going in the comics, where he was torn between an actual desire to do good and the manipulations of the symbiote.

So we all know how bad Catwoman turned out, and while an OK movie I was not all that impressed with Wolverine. The spinoffs just are not as good in my opinion. These characters are just not as interesting on their own. Plus we all know a venom movie is in the works because Hollywood knows us dorks will line up for miles for a chance to see venom since he didn't last long in the Spiderman movie. But how do you tell a venom movie without Spiderman?

A friend of mine had shown me this and it is a pretty cool Idea for an R2! I intend to add some extras to my second R2 unit but this is not quiet what I plan on doing but awesome regardless!

Ok so many people here know I am a huge dog fan, and have a Great Dane myself named King Arthur. Before him I had a Great Dane named Sasquatch. Fitting huh?

Anyhow I recently heard about Titan an all White, Blind and Deaf dog. It is sad really to see that people breading for color have done this to dogs of all breads. But Titan, despite his handicap, just set the record for worlds Tallest Dog!

I am all about the cheese that is 3D movies and although disappointed with Superman Returns I loved the 3D scenes! Looks like they will be using the same tech for this to onvert the 2D fills to 3d and the idea is being toyed around to do this with Alice in wonderland as well.

Iron Man 2 in 3D

Yes ladies and Gents, Pirates of the Caribbean are back and in New Orleans this time in search of the fountain of youth. Captain Jack is in search of his eternal life once more so that he can sail his ship till the end of days.

I Make no secret of the fact I was not impressed as many weren't with the last two films. I felt they had their moments, which I liked, but could have been done so much better.

I am looking forward to the next one though for several reasons. First no Orlando or Kira, sorry I felt they killed the last two. Secondly Geoffrey Rush is back as Hector Barbossa! The most Pirate of all the characters in my opinion and such a cool yet dark character.

You can check out some of the details here, and yes they now have a title for the film to be released in 2011 of "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides". Well the title stinks but fingers crossed this one pulls some serious series redemption.
