Celebration II (2002)
Celebration II was the second major Star Wars convention in a series held by LucasArts in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was held in 2002 to celebrate the release of Attack of the Clones, lasting from May 3 through May 5, 2002.
Star Wars Celebration II, my first ever Sci Fi event on my own. I was a Senior in High School, and had just become an official member of the 501st, TK-1384, yet I was so shy I never wore my Storm trooper costume at the event. What a great time and event and this is what set me on the journey to make all the costumes and projects I have made today. I debuted my in progress R2, which I had been working on for 2 years at that point, and met some of the coolest people ever. They had shown me its ok to be your self and embrace the nerd.
